Operant conditioning and errorless learning procedures in the treatment of chronic aphasia

Sighvatsson, M.B, & Siguroardottir, Z.G (2006). Operant conditioning and errorless learning procedures in the treatment of chronic aphasia. International Journal of Psychology, 41 (6), 527-540.

This is a great article describing how operant conditioning has been proven to work effectively on four elderly patients diagnosed with chronic aphasia. Over the course of this study that was 7 months long these individuals have progressively improved in various trials such as sequencing and naming objects and people. This article gave me hope in that somebody who undergoes this treatment will one day have their life back.
