False Memory

I found this video to be useful and interesting because it explains how false memories are created from information that might sound relevant to the participants. Researchers would give each participant 4 stories in which three were true and one was a lie. The lie would consist of each participants parents sharing a story of them getting lost in a mall when they were six years old. Many participants would lie and recall moments from this lie and say they remember the feature of the older lady that helped them that day or how they felt. This was shocking to me how the mind can make up events or a story to something that never happened. The video is short I hope you guys enjoy it!
